Iran is famous to be a dry country among the people in the world but it’s not true for all over Iran!
very high mountains in the west and north, low lands at the centre and of course different latitude and longitude from north to south and east to west, make various climates in Iran. Gilan province in the north is one of the greenest parts of Iran.l being located between the high Alborz mountain range and Caspian sea cause an appropriate climate to grow a forest called Hyrcanian forests. these forests are date back to the 40 million years ago and regard as one of the oldest forests on earth. in 2019 UNESCO has registered Iran’s Hyrcanian forests to its list of World Heritage Sites.
